Mission

Vision Christian Media (UCB Australia) is passionately committed to building communities of mature Christians through engaging media and resources.

Goals

We love Australia and we’re passionate about making sure that every person living in this country originally named Terra Austrialis del Spiritu Santo, Great Southland of the Holy Spirit, has the opportunity to hear to Good News of the Gospel. Christian Media for Every Australian is not just the goal of Vision Christian Media but an integral part of our DNA. Whether you live in a capital city or it is an hour’s helicopter ride to the nearest supermarket we want you to be able to access great Christian music, teaching and resources.

Romans 10 12-13 says “…the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Hardly a week goes by without us getting at least one new Vision station on air somewhere in our ‘sunburnt’ country. That’s because we’re committed to getting the Gospel message into every community in Australia.

Background

For many years, Vision acted as an umbrella organisation for about 30 autonomous affiliated Christian radio stations. Then, in the late 1990s, it also became a broadcaster in its own right, launching Vision FM (later renamed “Vision Christian Radio“). Vision has also been the facilitator of a variety of services that support its broadcasting. These include:

  • A national Christian worldview news service, Vision National News
  • The hugely popular daily devotional, The Word for Today
  • and its youth equivalent, Vision180
  • Our resources arm, Vision Christian Store, which provides quality teaching in books, CDs and DVDs
  • Our confidential prayer request service, Vision Christian Prayer
  • Training and assistance for Christian radio stations all over the country
